Top 5 Wednesday: authors you want to read more from

The Top 5 Wednesday is created by gingerreadslainey and hosted by Sam @Thoughts On Tomes. You can find the Goodreads group here.

–Talk about some authors that you’ve only read one or a few books from, and you NEED to read more!

1. Rainbow Rowell

I really enjoyed Fangirl and Eleanor&Park so I’m definitely planning to read more!

2. Julie Kagawa

talon-series-1-3

I know, I’ve read almost everything (from the entire Iron Fey series to the Blood of Eden), but the Talon saga is something I haven’t read yet. It seems to me like an amazing series, although I do not exactly have the money to buy them now ๐Ÿ˜ฆ In my country, the books have texture and I don’t know if the English books have it too?

3. Terry Pratchett

I’ve started reading the Discworld series a while ago, but I loaned the books from a guy and I don’t have a lot of contact with him any more so I’ll have to find another way

4. Rick Riordanย

I’ve read the Percy Jackson series, but after that he has written the Heroes of Olympus, Kane Chronicles, and if I remeber it right, another series, which I all haven’t read yet

5. Maggie Stiefvater

the-raven-cycle-series

I’ve read The Wolves of Mercy Falls and the Scorpio Races but I really want to read the Raven Cycle too. The books sound amazing (and honestly those covers are gorgeous)

And that’s all already! I have a lot more authors I really want to read more of, but maybe I’ll list them all sometime in another post ๐Ÿ™‚

Have you read anything from these authors? What authors do you want to read more of?

BookTraveling Thursdays: With the Oscars coming up soon… (#75)

Book Traveling Thursdays is created by Cรกtia @ The Girl Who Read Too Much and Danielle @ Danielle’s Book Blog.ย This weekly meme consists inย picking a book related to the weekly theme that is announced in the group Goodreads page (if you want to join click here) at the beginning of each month. After that you can write a blog post where you explain why you choose that book and choose different covers from different countries. To make it a little bit easy you are going to choose different editionsย of the original cover, the cover from your country, your favorite cover, and your least favorite cover.

– With the Oscars coming up soon choose a book that you would like to see as a movie.

I’m going for Shiver (and, naturally, the other books in the Mercy Falls series!). This book is amazing and I loved it so much, I’d love to see it as a movie!

Original cover:

6068551

Cover from my country (the Netherlands):

7062755

It’s basically the same ๐Ÿ™‚

Favorite cover:

205133336528333

I don’t know why, but black covers always seem to do things for me.. However, the original cover is super pretty too!

Least favorite cover:

15058654

Ah, the faces…. again ๐Ÿ˜›

Did you read this book? What did you think of the covers I chose? Pretty beautiful, aren’t they?
