top 5 Wednesday: hate to love

I’m back with another T5W! The Top 5 Wednesday is created by gingerreadslainey and hosted by Sam @Thoughts On Tomes. You can find the Goodreads group here.

— Ask and you may receive. By request, a topic all about your favorite hate to love romances!Β

Ahhhh I love hate-to-love romances so much sometimes. When they’re well written, it can easily fit into my favorite kind of ship!
1. Perfect Chemistry by Simone Elkeles

One of my favorite series as a small reader! Back then it was my basic introduction of a hate-to-love and I just really liked all the tension and how much they attracted they were to one another. I should reread them again soon tbh

2. Angelfall by Susan Ee

penryn

(Goodreads and Book Depository)

I read the first two books in this series last year and I still haven’t gotten my hands on book 3 yet :((( Penryn and Raffe are really complex characters and I want to know how it ends so badly (don’t tell me though!!). Reviews are here and here

3. Geekerella by Ashley Poston

(Goodreads and Book Depository)

I finished this book a few weeks ago (thanks for the ARC!) and it was so good! Without saying too much, let’s just say the hate-to-love is a real thing here! If you’ve read the book you’d understand it πŸ™‚ I reviewed it here

4. Iron Fey by Julie Kagawa

tumblr_mvmbrurcbj1smcbzyo1_500

(Goodreads and Book Depository)

One of my all time favorite series. It’s been a while since I’ve read them (time for a reread, right?) but if I’m right, Meghan and Ash didn’t always like each other so much…

5. Bloodlines by Richelle Mead

(Goodreads and Book Depository)

Ah yes, how could I possiblyΒ not include this series in a post…? πŸ˜› However, Sydney and Adrian are one of my ultimate fav ships because they are just so different in the beginning. And, of course, from book 3 (right?) on, we have chapters in Adrian’s POV which only makes it better! reviewed here, here, here and here

Have you read any of these books? Do you like hate-to-love relationships? Why (not)?? Tell me!Β

Top 5 Wednesday: authors you want to read more from

The Top 5 Wednesday is created by gingerreadslainey and hosted by Sam @Thoughts On Tomes. You can find the Goodreads group here.

–Talk about some authors that you’ve only read one or a few books from, and you NEED to read more!

1. Rainbow Rowell

I really enjoyed Fangirl and Eleanor&Park so I’m definitely planning to read more!

2. Julie Kagawa

talon-series-1-3

I know, I’ve read almost everything (from the entire Iron Fey series to the Blood of Eden), but the Talon saga is something I haven’t read yet. It seems to me like an amazing series, although I do not exactly have the money to buy them now 😦 In my country, the books have texture and I don’t know if the English books have it too?

3. Terry Pratchett

I’ve started reading the Discworld series a while ago, but I loaned the books from a guy and I don’t have a lot of contact with him any more so I’ll have to find another way

4. Rick RiordanΒ

I’ve read the Percy Jackson series, but after that he has written the Heroes of Olympus, Kane Chronicles, and if I remeber it right, another series, which I all haven’t read yet

5. Maggie Stiefvater

the-raven-cycle-series

I’ve read The Wolves of Mercy Falls and the Scorpio Races but I really want to read the Raven Cycle too. The books sound amazing (and honestly those covers are gorgeous)

And that’s all already! I have a lot more authors I really want to read more of, but maybe I’ll list them all sometime in another post πŸ™‚

Have you read anything from these authors? What authors do you want to read more of?

July wrap-up

Soo.. atfer being away for quite some time, I have come back with my (very much too late) July wrap-up. I could combine July and August, but that’d be the same because sadly, for so far in August I haven’t read anything yet 😦 Been in a bit of a reading slump, which I hope will be over soon. Luckily, I found the motivation for something else: rewatching Once Upon A Time and finally starting the last season too!

Oh well, let’s move on to the actual post!

Note: this post doesn’t contain too huge spoilers for named books

So, Last night I finished the Forever Song, the last book in the Blood of Eden series, and for a few moments I just didn’t know what to do. I felt a bit empty, and also sad. The series ended, and it was pretty perfect but… what now? Well, review time of course πŸ™‚
